Art Gallery

Apart from writing, I also enjoy making paintings and sketches. These days I am into making astronomical art. Apart from just the art, I like to develop back stories for my paintings. You can click on any of the thumbnails below to see the large size artwork. Each thumbnail also includes the story of what the painting is all about.

Serenity

The inhabitants of this large Earth-like ringed planet call their world 'Serenity'. The planet is peaceful, united, unpolluted and its inhabitants have developed much spiritually. This planet is in the Capella star system. Capella shines brightly in the background.

Tau Ceti 3

A large moon in the foreground revolves around a nearby habitable world which is the third in distance from Tau Ceti.

Transit of Venus The planet Venus made a rare transition across our sun on June 9, 2004. This is a painting I made in Photoshop to honour the event. The point of view is much closer to Venus than our Earth is.

Galaxyrise A spiral galaxy with a bright red supernova (left spiral arm) rises over the ocean of a world located within a globular star cluster which is one of several thousand that revolve around the galaxy. This is the view from the planet Toriban from my story 'Galaxyrise'

Concentration Tower

A spacevessel prepares for an interstellar voyage as it soars above the jovian planet, the motherworld to the home moon which is completely covered by habitation. This civilisation exists around a red dwarf star somewhere in the large magellenic cloud. The Milky Way is seen in the background.

A 12-kilometre high natural tower looms in the skyline of a watery planet that belongs to a binary star system somewhere in the periphery of the Milky Way Galaxy.
