Art Gallery

Apart from writing, I also enjoy making paintings and sketches. These days I am into making astronomical art. Apart from just the art, I like to develop back stories for my paintings. You can click on any of the thumbnails below to see the large size artwork. Each thumbnail also includes the story of what the painting is all about.

Galaxyrise over Toriban

View of the Katann Monks

Katann with the great galaxy and moon rising. Notice the supernova and the blue supergiant in the galaxy. BY. PRASHANT SOLOMON

The planet above is called Toriban and is the planet I am talking about in my story Galaxyrise. This planet is inside a globular star cluster called Andradi, which is perpendicular to the galactic plane. The galaxy in the background is a large spiral (much like the Milky Way) but over 100 million light years away.

This is the view of a large spiral galaxy rising over a rocky plateau on the planet Katann, inside a globular star cluster called Algoray. The planet's moon Jonava also rises. Notice the supernova and massive blue supergiant star inside the spiral galaxy. This galaxy is about 30 million light years from the Milky Way. Katann is a planet inhabited by spiritually advanced monks, whose story I will tell you about later.

Amatron

Amatron is an Earth like planet revolving around a large white star in a quadrary star system which is close to a large blue cloud of space dust.

Dextra 1625AB

Dextra 1625AB is a ringed planet in a binary star system inside a globular star cluster that is a part of a number of clusters that revolve around the large spiral galaxy in the background.

Amatron is an Earth like planet revolving around a large white star in a quadrary star system which is close to a large blue cloud of space dust. The system consists of the primary white star, a small yellowish-orange star and a pair of red stars - one of which is losing matter to the other through a stellar bridge of star matter. Amatron is inhabited by a dominant humanoid species still a few centuries away from the industrial revolution. Their technology is similar to Earth circa 1300. Amatron is about 4,500 light years away from us towards the direction of the Milky Way's center.

Dextra 1625AB is a ringed planet in a binary star system inside a globular star cluster that is a part of a number of clusters that revolve around the large spiral galaxy in the background. Dextra 1625AB is inhabited by an extremely advanced form of life that is semi-solid in nature and live deep inside the core of the planet. They do not need to develop advanced technology as they have developed a form of travelling through their minds or a form of advanced astral travel. This planet is over 200 million light years away from Earth and the spiral galaxy in the background is very similar to our own, but very, very, far away.

Pride of Altair

A beautiful ringed Earth - like planet with its two moons revolve around Altair, 16 light years away.

Close to the heart

A beautiful ringed Earth - like planet with its two moons revolve around Altair, 16 light years away.

A large jovian planet with a methane laced atmosphere revolves around a star close in the inner spiral arm of the Milky Way galaxy, some 23,000 light years from Earth. The rich starfield is noticeable in the background.
